When you visit us at The Grooming Room, we begin with a consultation to discuss your requirements and your dog's needs. Whether it is an easy to maintain, styled haircut or regular de-shedding, this consultation helps us to create a finish that matches your lifestyle.
We only use the highest quality products. Made by Requal, this range of Advanced Cosmetics for dogs, give exceptional results. They are produced to the highest standards, are not tested on animals and are completely bio-degradable. The range includes treatments for even the most sensitive of skins.
Depending on the breed, coat, condition and behaviour of your dog, prices may vary slightly, either more or less.

All clients are required to complete and sign a Declaration form. All your data is confidential and will not be shared with any third party. Please inform us of any changes in either your dog's health or temperament or your own details.
Welfare & Health - Whilst your dog is in our care, it's health and welfare is our primary concern. It will only be groomed according to it's tolerance of the process. On the odd occasion, during grooming, we may discover a pre-existing condition that you may not have been aware of. We will always notify you of this so that you may seek veterinary advice.
Appointments - Please be punctual as the appointment slot allocated at your request, is exclusive to your dog. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late will be assumed a 'no-show' and will have to re-book the appointment.
Pricing - Prices are for dogs that are used to being professionally groomed on a regular basis (at least once per season, 4 times a year depending on breed) and with coats that are well maintained between Salon grooms.
You may be charged more for:-
- Matted, poorly maintained or overgrown coats.
- Dogs that are difficult to manage or uncooperative during the grooming process.
- Timid, anxious or nervous dogs that require frequent breaks during the grooming process.
- If we are unable to complete a groom due to behavioural problems or aggression, you will be charged the normal price of the groom.
All costs of the session, whether completed or not (as detailed above), are payable in full at the time of collection.
Cancellations - If you are not able to make an appointment, please allow 24 hours notice.
Photographs - Your dog may be photographed before, during and after its grooming session for addition to the Salon's portfolio. The photographs may be displayed in the Salon, on The Grooming Room website or other printed materials. Please inform us if you do not wish your dog to be photographed.
De-matting - In the event that your dog's coat needs to be clipped down to release it from matting or coat neglect, The Grooming Room salon, it's owner or staff are not liable for any post-grooming effects of this procedure, which is not without risk. Any humane de-matting will be undertaken solely at my discretion, in accordance with The Animal Welfare Act 2006 (clause 5 - Animals are to be protected pain, injury and suffering). De-matting during a routine groom is limited to a maximum of 15 minutes and is only possible if the matting is minimal. For severely matted coats where matting is not possible, the only humane way to deal with this will be to completely shave off the coat.
Aggressive Dogs - The Grooming Room and associated staff reserve the right to refuse to groom any dog at risk of harming either the staff of itself. If your dog is accepted for grooming and displays aggression that we have not been informed of prior to the session, the groom will be terminated immediately. We will contact you to collect the dog and the booked session will be charged.
Vaccinations & Parasites - all dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, flea and worm treatments. Please be aware that your dog may be refused if parasites are discovered.
